The Crispy Skin Kumquat Tree is an evergreen small tree from the Rutaceae family and Fortunella genus. It is an improved variety of the common kumquat. Its fruit has a thin, sweet peel, a refreshing taste, and no pungency, making it ideal for eating whole with the skin. This variety is highly adaptable—cold-resistant, drought-tolerant, and disease-resistant—thriving in various climates and soil types, especially favoring warm and humid environments.

Characteristics of the Crispy Skin Kumquat Tree: 

• Fruit: The fruit is oval or egg-shaped. When ripe, the skin turns golden yellow, smooth with few oil glands, free of pungency, and has a sweet, pleasant taste. It can be eaten with the peel.

• Tree Form: The canopy is naturally rounded, and the tree can grow up to 3 meters tall.

• Leaves: The leaves are dark green, ovate-lanceolate or oblong, thick, with slightly pointed or blunt tips and a nearly rounded base.

• Flowers: Blooming in spring, the flowers are white, fragrant, with five petals. They appear singly or in clusters of 2–3.
